Stefan Hinz´s "Pedro Goes Cuban"

1 oz apple juice
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/3 oz simple syrup
1 2/3 oz Havana Selection
5 mint leaves
1/3 oz PX Sherry

Shake with ice cubes, double strain in a small tumbler. Add ice cubes and drop in Sherry. Garnish with a mint sprig.

This drink was definitely one of my favorites at the Bar Convent Berlin. Stefan Hinz is in Germany well known for his skills. This guy from Cologne was the German and the world champion in bartending 2010.

So, enjoy a truly masterful cocktail.

Cola Check

After decades of consumption of different varieties of cola, I would say I´m a real expert. As a great connaisseur of this delicious herbal soda´s I made my own ranking. I compared brands that are available on the German market.
A
ctually, I distinguish between soft drinks for daily needs and those for the specific enjoyment. Anyway, nothing can compare with Coca Cola. If you wanna drink Rum & Cola, Cuba Libre, or other cocktails you need Coca Cola. That´s my opinion.
Nevertheless
, there are brands that I still prefer to drink pure
and according to this criterion, I compared.

1. Fentimans Curiosity Cola
2. Afri Cola
3. Premium Cola
4.
Coca Cola
5. Royal Crown Cola
6. Fritz Kola
7. Red Bull Cola
8. Schlucki Cola
9. Pepsi Cola
10. Club Mate Cola
11. Now Black Cola
12. Sinalco Cola
13. Club Cola
14. Vita Cola
15. Ja! Cola
16. Stardrink Cola
17. Saps Cola

Attached a list of sodas that existed in the former GDR, some of them had really funny names.

Asco-Cola, Bongo-Cola, Cherry Cola, Cola-Hit, Colette Cola, Disco-Cola, Gold-Cola, Inter-Cola, Margon Cola, Marika, Markola, Prick-Cola, Quick-Cola, Quiss Cola, Stern-Cola, Sport-Cola, Tropen-Cola

News From Tikiland - Fantastic Artifacts

Things I saw only once so far. The mug seems to be a unique, homemade piece and the ashtray is possibly a Cortendorf gem, but I´m not sure. Now, smokin´ and drinkin´ is more fun.

New Tattoo - Tiki From The "Polynesian Room" Menu

I changed my plans and preferred a different motive. This is the Tiki from the Polynesian Room, Naniloa Hotel, Hilo, Hawaii. I think Oli Niehoff did a great job, again.

Fresh Fruits Week

During our experementation on my new and as I think better "Tatu Lambe", Philipp, the Bäckerhof mastermind, had the great idea to take an apple for a cocktail recipe. So, he'd invented the "Koala Cooler", a very smooth drink for Ladies, or for Gentleman in their weak moments.
Remember - an apple a day keeps the doctor away!
